NEW INCIDENT AT MACEDONIA - KOSOVO BORDER
Discontent with the manner of demarcation of the border at the locality Kodra Fura, the inhabitants of the border village of Debalde smashed the border stones of the recently marked Kosovo-Macedonia borderline, Alsat-M cited Kosovo's TV Station RTK as saying Monday evening.
RTK conveyed statements of the local population, saying that the Macedonian Commission failed to respect the agreement for refraining from intrusion into the properties of the inhabitants. According to them, 12 to 15 hectares of land are in question.
The deputy head of the Kosovo's Commission for the Border Demarcation, Murat Meha, told RTK that the two commissions are working together to find a solution for this sensitive part of the border, which would be acceptable for both sides, and of course, for the inhabitants of Debalde.
