TRAJKOVSKI'S FAMILY VERSUS THE STATE
National.
The proceeding against the State of Macedonia, which began today in the court of Skopje, on the basis of a lawsuit which was filed by the family of ex-President Boris Trajkovski, has been adjourned.
The members of the family of Boris Trajkovski, who was killed when his presidential plane crashed near Mostar in February 2004, set in motion a legal suit against the State for suffering non-material damage. They demand a compensation of about 600.000 euro's.
The case has been halted because the court in Skopje decided to give some extra time, to try and work out an out-of-court settlement.
The wife and two children of Boris Trajkovski received compensation from the state shortly after the incident, which consisted of granting a construction land at a valuable location in Skopje, as well as scholarships for the children.
MD: Again we are remembered of that terrible thing what happened back in februari of 2004.
