BATTLE OF LOBBYING

National.

Around 30 Members of U.S. Congress blamed Macedonia of improper behaviour that poses a threat to Greece's territorial integrity.

In a letter posted to President Barack Obama, 32 Congressmen representing Greek-American interests claim that while Greece desires to support Macedonia joining NATO and the EU, it cannot do so as long as the authorities in Skopje indulge in behaviour that threatens the territorial integrity of our NATO ally Greece.

"The recognition by the prior administration of the country as the Republic of Macedonia undermined the negotiations that have been ongoing since the execution of the Interim Agreement and brought about a severe erosion of the relationship between Skopje and Athens," said the letter.

According to Congressmen, Greece has already made a major goodwill gesture by agreeing that the word Macedonia in the future name of its northern neighbor is acceptable so long as it is combined with some geographic qualifier

The letter was obtained by the United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD), which kicked off a campaign to mobilize Macedonian community in the United States. UMD appeals to Macedonian sin the US to write letters to Senators and Congressmen in a bid to promote the Macedonian-US relations, support Macedonia's name and Macedonia's NATO membership and resist the attempts to cut the aid for Macedonia

UMD has already garnered technical assistance by the Turkish Coalition of America.

Even the word serbia and Bulgeria and greece and Albania did not exist in Alexander the Greats Time but the Name Macedonia did and always will be hear.
